Instructions to run the CD version of PG directly from the Hard Drive ********************************************** Reinstall your PG game (using the "deluxe" install) and then follow these instructions: A) Insert your PG CD into the CD Rom Drive (if it has "autorun" just "cancel" when the PG "Splash" screen appears). B) Open your Windows95/98 Explorer C) Hit the + sign beside your PG directory under "C" in the left hand window. You should now see the "DAT" and "EXE" folders. You should also see an (empty) SAVES folder - if not, make one (click on the PG folder, go to file and choose to create a new folder with the name SAVES). D) Double Click on the CD Rom Drive that contains the PG CD (left hand window). The contents of the CD Rom should appear in the right hand window. E) In the right hand window "Click and Drag" the "LIB" directory (folder)over to the left hand window and place the mouse cursor over the "PG" folder. Release and select "COPY HERE" from the menu that appears. You should now have a "LIB" sub directory appear under PG. F) Click on the "DAT" folder in the right hand window. The contents of this directory should now appear in the right hand window. G) Select "EDIT" from the menu on the top of your screen. Once you open the "EDIT" menu select "SELECT ALL". All of the files in the "DAT" directory should be highlighted (selected). H) RIGHT click on one of the highlighted files and drag your cursor over top of the "DAT" directory in the LEFT hand window. Release the mouse button over the DAT directory (folder) and select "COPY HERE" from the menu. Select "YES TO ALL" when the annoying pop up overwrite warning appears. I) Repeat step E for the folders SOUND and SCNBRIEF (ie copy these folders from your CD to your harddrive, placing them within the PG folder). J) Make sure that all file properties are set to "ARCHIVE" and not "READ ONLY". You can do this by going to the EDIT menu and selecting "SELECT ALL" and then going to the FILE menu and selecting "PROPERTIES". K) Now install the Panzer.exe file included. Unzip the Panzer.exe file and copy it into your PG\EXE directory, overwriting the CD version of the file. L) Remove your CD from the Drive and fire up PG to see that all is fine. **********************************************
